Arkansas High School Basketball - Flippin holds off Izard County
December 9, 2023: Brockwell, AR 72517 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Flippin Bobcats (Flippin, AR) and the host Izard County Cougars (Brockwell, AR), saw Flippin's basketball squad hold off Izard County by a tally of 75-71.
With the victory, Flippin improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Kingston (Kingston, AR) to confront the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 11. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Kingston won 62-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Huntsville (Huntsville, AR)
Next up, the Cougars confront the White County Central Bears (Judsonia, AR) in a 2A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Izard County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 79-56 league loss to Marshall (Marshall, AR).
