Missouri High School Basketball - Hazelwood Central overwhelmed by Webster Groves
December 9, 2023: Florissant, MO 63031 The Webster Groves Statesmen basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Hazelwood Central Hawks to 50 in the Statesmen league victory on Saturday.
The Statesmen now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quincy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Webster Groves will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 62-54 non-league win over Chaminade (St. Louis, MO). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-0.
The Hawks (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Eureka (Eureka, MO). The Wildcats come into the Suburban - Yellow contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Eureka triumphed over Parkway Central (Chesterfield, MO), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
