December 9, 2023: Mendon, IL 62351 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL) and the visiting Lewistown Indians (Lewistown, IL), saw Mendon Unity's basketball squad wallop Lewistown by a tally of 56-32.
With the victory, Mendon Unity improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Illinois School for the Deaf (Jacksonville, IL) to confront the Tigers in a Western Illinois Valley challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Illinois School for the Deaf lost 63-33 in their recent non-league challenge against Lutheran (Springfield, IL)
Next up, the Indians confront the Rushville-Industry Rockets (Rushville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Lewistown will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 54-52 non-league win over Havana (Havana, IL).
