The Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) basketball nipped the host Ballard Memorial Bombers (Barlow, KY), 50-43 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bobcats (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Joppa-Maple Grove (Joppa, IL). The Rangers go into the South Egyptian test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Joppa-Maple Grove was tipped by Pope County (Golconda, IL), 65-23, in a non-league test.

The Bombers now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Hickman County for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Ballard Memorial will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 53-20 league loss to Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY). The Falcons record now stands at 1-3.
