Texas High School Basketball - Mineola crushes Lone Oak
December 9, 2023: Lone Oak, TX 75453 Mineola Yellowjackets (Mineola, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), 66-29 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Mineola upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Quitman (Quitman, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Quitman won 47-19 in their recent non-league bout against New Diana (Diana, TX)
Next up, the Buffaloes play the Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Lone Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 37-22 non-league win over North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX).
