West Virginia High School Basketball - Jefferson toppled by Allegany

December 9, 2024: Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442

Allegany Campers (Cumberland, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV), 51-38 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Allegany upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Campers travel to Mountain Ridge (Frostburg, MD) to face the Miners in a Appalachian Mountain match on Thursday, December 12. The Miners enter the match with a record of 2-0. Mountain Ridge won 61-34 in their recent non-league match against Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA)

The Cougars now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loudoun Valley for a non-league match on Saturday, December 14. Jefferson will face a Vikings squad coming off a 40-36 non-league win over Riverside (Leesburg, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-1.
