The Grayson County Blue Devils basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Alleghany Trojans to 39 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Monday.

The Blue Devils now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire game on Tuesday, December 10. Grayson County will confront a Spartans team coming off a 31-29 non-league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Alleghany falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to confront the Sauras in a 1A Northwest game on Friday, December 13.
