The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the North Tonawanda Lumberjacks (North Tonawanda, NY) and the visiting Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY), observed North Tonawanda's basketball team edge Nichols by a score of 55-53.

The Lumberjacks (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenmore West (Buffalo, NY). The Blue Devils come into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier challenge with a 1-0 record.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Randolph Cardinals (Randolph, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Nichols will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
