Mississippi High School Soccer - North Pontotoc knocks off Lafayette
December 9, 2024: Oxford, MS 38655 In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting North Pontotoc Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the Lafayette Commodores.
The Vikings (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 4A Region 1 outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, New Albany got by Byhalia (Byhalia, MS), 7-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Commodores play the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) in a 5A Region 1 outing, on Thursday, December 12. Lafayette will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 3-4 record after their 7-0 league win over West Point (West Point, MS).
