The Smithson Valley Rangers basketball team (Spring Branch, TX), was trounced 74-39 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Alamo Heights Mules (San Antonio, TX)

The Mules (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Chargers come into the 5A Region IV District 26 challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Boerne-Champion trounced Clark (San Antonio, TX), 57-21, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rangers battle the Tournament Opponent (, ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 11. Smithson Valley will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The come into the challenge with a 29-108 record after their 119-21 non-league loss to Centennial (Corona, CA).
