Indiana High School Basketball - Elwood nips Union
December 9, 2025: Modoc, IN 47358 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Elwood Panthers basketball team scored a close 60-56 win over the Union Rockets.
The Panthers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Madison-Grant (Fairmount, IN). The Argylls come into the Central Indiana contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Madison-Grant edged Clinton Central (Michigantown, IN), 52-38, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rockets battle the Wes-Del Warriors (Gaston, IN) in a Mid-Eastern contest, on Friday, December 12. Union will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 79-32 league loss to Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN).

Elwood scored 19 second quarter points behind GAllegas 14 points.
Third Quarter
Rockets fought back and won the quarter trailing by 8 after 3.
Fourth Quarter
Elwood was able to hold off Union' comeback with a couple key baskets and free throws to end the game.
