The Aledo Bearcats basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Azle Hornets to 38 in the Bearcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 10-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rider for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Monday, February 7. Aledo will meet a Raiders team coming off a 76-47 league win over Wichita Falls (Wichita Falls, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 8-20.

The Hornets (21-8) will now prepare for their contest against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears enter the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 17-11 record. In their last contest, Brewer ran past Granbury (Granbury, TX), 43-41, in a league contest.
