The Central Davidson Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets to 38 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Grove for a 3A Conference 47 contest on Wednesday, February 2. Central Davidson will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 48-43 league loss to North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 6-12.

The Blue Comets (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Panthers come into the 3A Conference 47 contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Ledford triumphed over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 70-50, in a league contest.
