Illinois High School Basketball - Sesser-Valier overwhelms Woodlawn
February 1, 2022: Sesser, IL 62884 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL) and the visiting Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL), saw Sesser-Valier's basketball squad wallop Woodlawn by a tally of 49-23.
With the victory, Sesser-Valier improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Trico (Campbell Hill, IL) to play the Pioneers in a Black Diamond - West challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 5-18.
Next up, the Cardinals play the Cisne Runnin' Lions (Cisne, IL) in a Midland Trail challenge, on Friday, February 4. Woodlawn will attempt to improve on its 4-17 season record. The Runnin' Lions come into the challenge with a 18-6 record after their 71-63 non-league loss to Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL).
