In Tuesday's league match, the host Troup Tigers basketball team scored a tight 36-34 triumph over the West Rusk Raiders.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Arp Tigers (Arp, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 match, on Friday, February 4. Troup will attempt to better on its 14-15 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 7-17 record after their 37-25 league loss to Waskom (Waskom, TX).
