In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Mackay Miners basketball team scored a decisive 67-45 triumph over the Leadore Mustangs.

In their next game, the Miners meet the North Gem Cowboys (Bancroft, ID) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 3. Mackay will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Cowboys enter the match with a 6-12 record after their 63-39 non-league loss to Richfield (Richfield, ID).

With the defeat, Leadore moves to 10-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Challis (Challis, ID) to meet the Vikings in a non-league match on Thursday, February 2.
