Manti Templars (Manti, UT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Union Cougars (Roosevelt, UT), 59-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Manti upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Templars host Delta (Delta, UT) to play the Rabbits in a 3A Region 14 bout on Friday, February 3. The Rabbits go into the bout with a record of 2-17. Delta lost 62-35 in their recent league bout against Juab (Nephi, UT)

Next up, the Cougars play the Manila Mustangs (Manila, UT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 47-36 non-league win over Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT).
