The Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the host Marathon Dolphins to 58 in the Hurricanes league victory on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palm Glades Prep Academy for a non-league contest on Friday, February 3. Somerset Academy South Homestead will battle a Eagles team coming off a 50-45 non-league win over Pinecrest Glades Academy (Miami, FL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-5.

The Dolphins (7-12) will now prepare for their contest against Coral Shores (Tavernier, FL). The Hurricanes come into the 3A District 16 contest with a 16-5 record. In their last contest, Coral Shores prevailed over Somerset Academy Silver Palms (Miami, FL), 64-51, in a league contest.
