Virginia High School Basketball - Mountain View nips Riverheads
February 1, 2023: Quicksburg, VA 22847 Mountain View Generals (Quicksburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA), 46-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 1-18 on the season. The Generals host Clarke County (Berryville, VA) to play the Eagles in a Bull Run bout on Friday, February 3. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Clarke County won 52-45 in their recent league bout against Madison County (Madison, VA)
Next up, the Gladiators play the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a Shenandoah bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Riverheads will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record. The Green Hornets go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 56-35 league win over Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA).
