The North Star Cougars basketball team (Boswell, PA), was overwhelmed 50-26 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Windber Ramblers (Windber, PA)

The Ramblers now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portage for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 2. Windber will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 71-41 league win over Purchase Line (Commodore, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-5.

The Cougars (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Indians come into the Western Pennsylvania - Northern battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Conemaugh Township was overwhelmed by Blacklick Valley (Nanty Glo, PA), 48-45, in a league battle.
