St. Ignatius Wildcats (San Francisco, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Valley Christian Warriors (San Jose, CA), 40-30 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Ignatius upgrades its record to 10-10 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Presentation (San Jose, CA) to play the Panthers in a West Catholic bout on Saturday, February 4. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-12.

Next up, the Warriors play the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish (San Francisco, CA) in a West Catholic bout, on Saturday, February 4. Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Fightin' Irish go into the bout with a 17-3 record after their 69-46 league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA).
