Louisiana High School Basketball - Pitkin nudges DeRidder
February 1, 2024: DeRidder, LA 70634 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Pitkin Tigers (Pitkin, LA) basketball squad edged the host DeRidder Dragons (DeRidder, LA), by a count of 56-55.
The Tigers (21-15) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Hill (Hineston, LA). The Rams go into the B District 4 challenge with a 6-20 record. In their last challenge, Oak Hill was edged by Reeves (Reeves, LA), 91-53, in a non-league challenge.
Next up, the Dragons play the Eunice Bobcats (Eunice, LA) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 2. DeRidder will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 55-45 league loss to Leesville (Leesville, LA).
