February 1, 2024: Des Lacs, ND 58733 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers (Des Lacs, ND) and the visiting Rugby Panthers (Rugby, ND), saw Des Lacs-Burlington's basketball squad wallop Rugby by a count of 71-39.
With the victory, Des Lacs-Burlington upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to New Town (New Town, ND) to play the Eagles in a A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-8. New Town lost 63-49 in their recent league challenge against South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND)
Next up, the Panthers play the Grafton Spoilers (Grafton, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Rugby will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Spoilers come into the challenge with a 10-3 record after their 76-70 league loss to Four Winds/Minnewaukan (Fort Totten, ND).
