Kentucky High School Basketball - McLean County can't hold off Hopkins County Central
February 1, 2024: Madisonville, KY 42431 The Hopkins County Central Storm basketball team scored 84 points and held the visiting McLean County Cougars to 77 in the Storm non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Storm now sport a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton County for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Hopkins County Central will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 73-63 non-league win over Glasgow (Glasgow, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-10.
The Cougars (14-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hancock County (Lewisport, KY). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Hancock County was nudged by Meade County (Brandenburg, KY), 59-42, in a league contest.
