Alabama High School Basketball - Madison County can't hold off Section
February 1, 2024: Gurley, AL 35748 The Section Lions basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Madison County Tigers to 50 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Skyline for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Section will battle a Vikings team coming off a 85-10 non-league win over Ider (Ider, AL). The Vikings record now stands at 21-4.
The Tigers (3-19) will now prepare for their contest against Kate Duncan Smith DAR (Grant, AL). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 19-9 record. In their last contest, Kate Duncan Smith DAR nudged Douglas (Douglas, AL), 72-63, in a non-league contest.
