Oklahoma High School Basketball - Atoka nips Valliant
February 1, 2024: Atoka, OK 74525 Atoka Wampus Cats (Atoka, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Valliant Bulldogs (Valliant, OK), 38-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Atoka upgrades its record to 7-12 on the campaign. The Wampus Cats travel to Antlers (Antlers, OK) to play the Bearcats in a Freelance bout on Friday, February 9. The Bearcats come into the bout with a record of 7-12.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Wright City Lumberjax (Wright City, OK) in a McCurtain Six bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Valliant will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Lumberjax come into the bout with a 22-2 record after their 52-37 league win over Rattan (Rattan, OK).
