Connecticut High School Basketball - Warde winner over Bassick
February 1, 2024: Bridgeport, CT 06605 The Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT) basketball felled the host Bassick Lions (Bridgeport, CT), 45-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Falcons go into the Fairfield County test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Ludlowe was beaten by St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT), 59-44, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Amistad for a Freelance test on Thursday, February 8. Bassick will encounter a Wolves squad coming off a 48-8 non-league win over Whitney RVT (Hamden, CT). The Wolves record now stands at 8-8.
