Alabama High School Basketball - Saks ripped by Central of Clay County
February 1, 2024: Anniston, AL 36206 The Central of Clay County Volunteers basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Saks Wildcats to 20 in the Volunteers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Volunteers now sport a 20-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shelby County for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 3. Central of Clay County will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 47-32 non-league win over St. Clair County (Odenville, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-13.
With the defeat, Saks moves to 4-14 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Pleasant Valley (Jacksonville, AL) to face the Raiders in a non-league match on Friday, February 2. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-15.
