The Watseka Warriors basketball team scored 35 points and held the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers to 28 in the Warriors league triumph on Thursday.

The Warriors now sport a 23-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cissna Park for a contest on Monday, February 5. Watseka will meet a Timberwolves team coming off a 36-23 non-league win over Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Timberwolves record now stands at 21-7.

The Cornjerkers (15-13) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Broadlands, IL). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 2-24 record.
