February 1, 2024: Fredericksburg, VA 22401 In Thursday's league outing, the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting King George Foxes (King George, VA), by a margin of 50-45.
The Yellow Jackets (11-8) will now prepare for their outing against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cougars go into the Battlefield outing with a 1-17 record. In their last match, Courtland was nipped by Mountain View (Stafford, VA), 30-24, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, King George moves to 13-3 on the year. The Foxes travel to Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA) to meet the Knights in a Battlefield match on Friday, February 2. The Knights enter the match with a record of 8-9. Spotsylvania won 62-55 in their recent league match against Eastern View (Culpeper, VA)
