New York High School Basketball - Le Roy holds off Letchworth
February 1, 2024: Le Roy, NY 14482 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Le Roy Oatkan Knights (Le Roy, NY) and the visiting Letchworth Indians (Gainesville, NY), saw Le Roy's basketball squad hold off Letchworth by a tally of 31-29.
With the victory, Le Roy improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Oatkan Knights host Geneseo (Geneseo, NY) to confront the Blue Devils in a Section 5 Livingston 2 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Geneseo won 49-29 in their recent league challenge against Warsaw (Warsaw, NY)
Next up, the Indians confront the School of the Arts Silverhawks (Rochester, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. Letchworth will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Silverhawks come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 49-48 non-league loss to Early College (Yonkers, NY).
