Minnesota High School Basketball - South Ridge overwhelms McGregor
February 1, 2024: McGregor, MN 55760 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the South Ridge Panthers (Culver, MN) and the host McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN), saw South Ridge's basketball squad wallop McGregor by a count of 73-33.
With the victory, South Ridge upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Chisholm (Chisholm, MN) to play the Bluestreaks in a A Section 7 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Bluestreaks come into the challenge with a record of 16-6. Chisholm lost 56-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Cromwell (Cromwell, MN)
Next up, the Mercuries play the East Central Eagles (Sandstone, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. McGregor will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 59-40 non-league loss to Cherry (Iron, MN).
