February 1, 2024: Noatak, AK 99761 The McQueen Qavviks basketball team (Kivalina, AK), was overwhelmed 64-30 in Thursday's league battle with the host Napaaqtugmiut Lynx (Noatak, AK)
The Lynx now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shaktoolik for a non-league battle on Friday, February 2. Napaaqtugmiut will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 51-35 non-league win over Buckland (Buckland, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 11-0.
The Qavviks (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Buckland (Buckland, AK). The Sissauni come into the 1A Northwest Arctic battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Buckland was overwhelmed by Shaktoolik (Shaktoolik, AK), 51-35, in a non-league battle.
