Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Port St. Lucie Jaguars (Port St. Lucie, FL), 39-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Merritt Island upgrades its record to 3-17 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Viera (Viera, FL) to clash with the Hawks in a non-league bout on Friday, February 2. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 9-13. Viera lost 71-34 in their recent non-league bout against Spruce Creek (Port Orange, FL)

Next up, the Jaguars clash with the Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. Port St. Lucie will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 84-28 non-league loss to Viera (Viera, FL).
