Avondale Yellowjackets (Auburn Hills, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting University Eagles (Ferndale, MI), 5-2 in a league bout.

With the victory, Avondale upgrades its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Rochester (Rochester Hills, MI) to play the Falcons in a bout on Tuesday, February 6.
