South Carolina High School Basketball - Fountain Inn nips Palmetto
February 1, 2024: Fountain Inn, SC 29644 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Fountain Inn Fury (Fountain Inn, SC) and the visiting Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC), saw Fountain Inn's basketball squad hold off Palmetto by a tally of 39-34.
With the victory, Fountain Inn improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Fury travel to Southside (Greenville, SC) to play the Tigers in a challenge on Monday, February 5. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 14-7. Southside won 59-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Powdersville Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a challenge, on Monday, February 5. Palmetto will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 75-28 league loss to Wren (Piedmont, SC).
