Virginia High School Basketball - Albemarle fells L.C. Bird
February 1, 2025: Chesterfield, VA 23832 The Albemarle Patriots basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host L.C. Bird Skyhawks to 58 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Patriots now have a 17-3 record. They play next when they host Fluvanna County for a Jefferson game on Tuesday, February 4. Albemarle will confront a Flying Flucos team coming off a 62-37 league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Flying Flucos record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, L.C. Bird falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Skyhawks host Huguenot (Richmond, VA) to confront the Falcons in a Dominion game on Wednesday, February 5. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 3-8. Huguenot won 65-52 in their recent league game against James River Midlothian (Midlothian, VA)
