Minnesota High School Basketball - Duluth East can't hold off Centennial
February 1, 2025: Duluth, MN 55804 Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN), 57-50 in a league match.
With the victory, Centennial advances its record to 10-10 on the year. The Cougars host Blaine (Blaine, MN) to face the Bengals in a AAAA Section 7 match on Monday, February 3. The Bengals enter the match with a record of 10-8. Blaine lost 101-62 in their recent non-league match against Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN)
The Greyhounds now own a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest Lake for a AAAA Section 7 match on Tuesday, February 4. Duluth East will face a Rangers squad coming off a 77-59 non-league loss to White Bear Lake (White Bear Lake, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 3-14.
