February 1, 2025: Cameron, LA 70631 Hackberry Mustangs (Hackberry, LA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Johnson Bayou Rebels (Cameron, LA), 74-39 in a league match.
With the victory, Hackberry advances its record to 20-13 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Starks (Starks, LA) to meet the Panthers in a C District 5 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 19-7. Starks lost 74-70 in their recent league match against Singer (Singer, LA)
The Rebels now own a 9-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gueydan for a non-league match on Monday, February 3. Johnson Bayou will meet a Bears squad coming off a 63-37 league loss to Vermilion Catholic (Abbeville, LA). The Bears record now stands at 3-18.
