In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Lincoln-Way East Griffins basketball team scored a good 69-61 triumph over the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves.

The Griffins (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Chargers go into the SouthWest Suburban contest with a 0-23 record. In their last contest, Stagg was topped by St. Patrick (Chicago, IL), 67-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Red Wolves confront the Tinley Park Titans (Tinley Park, IL) in a South Suburban contest, on Friday, February 7. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to better on its 11-16 season record.
