The North Valley Christian Academy Lions (Phoenix, AZ) basketball toppled the visiting Phoenix Christian Cougars (Phoenix, AZ), 60-50 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 16-5 record. They play next when they travel to Highland Prep West for a 2A West bout on Monday, February 3. North Valley Christian Academy will play a HORNETS team coming off a 63-12 league win over Mountainside (Wittmann, AZ). The HORNETS record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Phoenix Christian falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Cougars host Scottsdale Preparatory Academy (Scottsdale, AZ) to play the Spartans in a 2A Central bout on Monday, February 3. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 10-13.
