Virginia High School Basketball - Catholic sneaks past Virginia Academy
February 1, 2025: Virginia Beach, VA 23462 The Catholic Crusaders (Virginia Beach, VA) basketball edged the visiting Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA), 68-61 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Crusaders now possess a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Norfolk Christian for a TCIS bout on Tuesday, February 4. Catholic will play a Ambassadors team coming off a 77-16 league win over Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA). The Ambassadors record now stands at 15-2.
With the loss, Virginia Academy falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Trinity Episcopal won 58-39 in their recent non-league bout against St. Catherine's (Richmond, VA)
