New Mexico High School Basketball - Cimarron can't hold off Maxwell
February 1, 2025: Maxwell, NM 87728 Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 53-46 in a league match.
With the victory, Maxwell upgrades its record to 8-13 on the year. The Bears host Des Moines (Des Moines, NM) to face the Demons in a A District 5 match on Tuesday, February 4. The Demons enter the match with a record of 12-6. Des Moines lost 52-43 in their recent non-league match against Elida (Elida, NM)
The Rams now sport a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Mexico School for the Deaf for a A District 5 match on Monday, February 3. Cimarron will face a Roadrunners squad coming off a 60-22 league loss to Springer (Springer, NM). The Roadrunners record now stands at 4-10.
