February 1, 2025: Dwight, IL 60420 Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), 55-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Dwight upgrades its record to 15-11 on the year. The Trojans host Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL) to face the Mallards in a Tri-County match on Monday, February 3. The Mallards enter the match with a record of 12-15. Henry-Senachwine lost 31-25 in their recent league bout against St. Bede (Peru, IL)
With the loss, Newark falls to 1-20 on the campaign. The Norsemen travel to Hinckley-Big Rock (Hinckley, IL) to play the Royals in a Little Ten bout on Monday, February 3. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Hinckley-Big Rock won 61-33 in their recent non-league bout against Mendota (Mendota, IL)
