The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Union Tigers (Mount Storm, WV) and the host Highland Rams (Monterey, VA), observed Union's basketball team overwhelm Highland by a score of 49-20.

The Tigers (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against East Hardy (Baker, WV). The Cougars come into the Potomac Valley challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, East Hardy trounced Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV), 46-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Highland will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-14 record after their 61-27 league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA).
