Maine High School Ice Hockey - York nips Leavitt
February 1, 2025: Turner, ME 04282 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the York Wildcats (York, ME) and the host Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), witnessed York's ice hockey team nip Leavitt by a final score of 3-2.
The Wildcats (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Dragons come into the Class B South challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Brunswick was nipped by Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME), 3-2, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Greely Rangers (Cumberland Center, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Leavitt will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Edward Little (Auburn, ME).
