Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lakota Tech Tatanka (Pine Ridge, SD) and the visiting Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD), saw Lakota Tech's basketball squad hold off Lower Brule by a count of 79-73.

With the victory, Lakota Tech upgrades its record to 9-6 on the campaign. The Tatanka travel to Custer (Custer, SD) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 12. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Custer lost 63-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD)

Next up, the Sioux play the Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 12. Lower Brule will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record. The come into the challenge with a 14-1 record after their 74-52 non-league win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian (Lake Andes, SD).
