The Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV) basketball nipped the visiting Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV), 47-45 in Friday's league test.

The Applemen (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Elkins (Elkins, WV). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Elkins got by Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV), 63-44, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 14-5 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a Eastern Panhandle test on Tuesday, February 14. Spring Mills will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 90-52 league win over Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Cougars record now stands at 11-6.
