Fans at Friday's league challenge between the New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) and the visiting Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), saw New Mexico Military Institute's basketball squad hold off Ruidoso by a count of 45-39.

With the victory, New Mexico Military Institute upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Loving (Loving, NM) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-21. Loving lost 50-39 in their recent league challenge against Jal (Jal, NM)

Next up, the Warriors play the Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Ruidoso will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 53-47 league loss to Tucumcari (Tucumcari, NM).
