Indiana High School Basketball - Southwestern nips Rising Sun

February 10, 2023: Rising Sun, IN 47040

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southwestern Rebels (Hanover, IN) and the host Rising Sun Shiners (Rising Sun, IN), saw Southwestern's basketball squad hold off Rising Sun by a tally of 71-70.

With the victory, Southwestern improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Austin (Austin, IN) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 17. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-15. Austin lost 60-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Providence (Clarksville, IN)

Next up, the Shiners play the Lawrenceburg Tigers (Lawrenceburg, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 11. Rising Sun will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 50-38 league win over Rushville (Rushville, IN).
